Maryville's Mission: "Service with Love"
For over 40 years, Maryville Nursing Home has consistently
been a top-rated, nationally recognized senior care facility.
Dedicated to “Service with Love,” Maryville provides
the very best living environment and health and social needs
for men and women who need ongoing, caring attention.
Maryville is a 155-bed facility in Beaverton, Oregon in
the Portland, Oregon metropolitan area. Owned and operated
by the Sisters of St. Mary of Oregon, Maryville opened in
June 1963. In addition to seven Sisters, Maryville's
staff includes 180 employees and 92 volunteers.
Kathleen Parry is the administrator
of Maryville Nursing Home. She succeeded Sister Geraldine
Bernards, who retired from the position in 2004. A
continuing education fund has been established in honor
of Sister Geraldine's "Service with Love" at
Maryville.
Maryville is licensed
for intermediate and skilled nursing care. It
provides
24-hour
nursing care
with
directing
nursing
service provided by Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical
Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants. The Resident Care
Manager (RCM) is a Registered Nurse and is responsible
for overseeing the care of the residents at Maryville.
An individualized
Plan of Care is developed by the RCM for each resident, with
input and consideration from the resident, family and an
interdisciplinary team. The Plan of Care is reviewed and
evaluated at least once a quarter and as the resident’s
condition changes. Residents come from all walks of life,
including the medically indigent and others with limited
ability to pay.
Staff members demonstrate patience, understanding and
compassion when working with residents and their families.
Maryville treats the whole person – physical, spiritual
and emotional.
At Maryville, senior residents find a true home, where
they can spend their remaining years in dignity, comfort
and serenity.
