Serving Others

We, the Sisters of St. Mary of Oregon, have been turning our faith into action to benefit countless individuals and families throughout the Pacific Northwest—and beyond—for more than 120 years.

Our on-campus sponsored ministries provide care and education for every stage of life:

• Excellent education for infants through high school at Valley Catholic School and music lessons through Valley Catholic Music School
• Lifelong learning opportunities through our speaker series called the Bethany Center
• Service with love to the elderly as well as teaching English as a Second Language to employees at Maryville Nursing Home
• Outreach to the local area, including collecting food and raising funds for the needy

Off-campus outreach and ministry
Service to the larger community includes:

• Serving at parishes and schools throughout the Pacific Northwest and beyond
• Educating children about Jesus through our annual Jesus Jamboree, CYO activities, parish religious educations classes in English, Vietnamese, and Spanish
• Sharing life and providing support at a homeless shelter and at an adoption agency
• Spreading our charism into other areas through SSMO Associates
