Join the Sisters of St. Mary of Oregon at Camp Howard, July 10 – 12, 2009 for a fun-filled spiritual weekend! Hosted by the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO), the camp aspires to build Christian values through the camping experience. Each summer Camp Howard and the Sisters of St. Mary of Oregon create a unique, spiritual, and vibrant community that offers campers a fun-filled, challenging weekend in a safe, natural environment.

Campers share their faith through classes, daily Mass, campfires, music, crafts, plays, and outdoor activities in a glorious setting. It is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about Jesus and have lots of fun in the process.

Camp Howard

SSMO Sister Krista von Borstel, SSMO, is Executive Director of the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) which hosts the Jesus Jamboree at Camp Howard.

The camp is located about 35 miles east of Portland in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains. The campgrounds include 240 acres on Cougar Mountain with a spectacular view of Mt. Hood. The facilities include 30 heated cabins for both staff and campers. Some of the facilities include the St. Virginia Chapel, swimming pool, a pond, star deck and dining hall.
