Class of 1957 Reunion
Fifty years after graduating from St. Mary of the Valley High School, the class of 1957 celebrated a milestone 50th class reunion. Alumna gathered the weekend of September 15 and 16 to share school-day tales and details of their post-graduation journeys. Saturday evening dinner was coordinated by Janice Kosmalski Martin ’57 at The Stockpot Broiler (the site of her family’s homestead until they sold the land in the 1950s). Classmates dined while listening to festive music (including Elvis Presley and The Kingston Trio) and even thought about trying the hula-hoop (invented in 1957). Sunday the class reconvened for an afternoon potluck at the beautiful home of Jacqueline Genheimer Traver ’57 where they shared more stories over delicious treats and photo albums created by reunion organizer, Jane Kotrik Horning ’57. Everyone enjoyed the hospitality and lovely grounds of Jacqueline’s home and the nearby home and Asian-inspired gardens of fellow classmate, Jean Kotrik Rapp ’57. Congratulations on your 50th reunion!
