Soup's On 2015 table

The aromas of 20 delicious soups and the “oohs and aahs” of nearly 400 appreciative diners filled the Valley Catholic Athletic Center for Soup’s On 2015. The event, held on Oct. 3, received news coverage on Oregon Live and in the Beaverton Leader: Soup’s On competition: Beaverton police and Thai Bloom ladle out wins

2015 Judges Choice Award

Representatives from local media outlets presented the 2015 “Judges Choice Award” for excellence to Thai Bloom for their Chicken Tom Kha soup. The 2015 judges were:

  • Keely Chalmers, environmental reporter, KGW
  • Jenny Hansson, news anchor, KOIN6
  • Rhonda Shelby, morning meteorologist, KATU

Thai Bloom Judges Choice Award 2015

Gold Ladle Award | The Beaverton Police Department – Chicken Tortilla Soup

Silver Ladle Award | Maryville – Chicken Gnocchi Soup

Bronze Ladle Award | Noodles & Company – Tomato Basil Bisque

As they did in 2014, the Beaverton Police Department and Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue (TVF&R) met in a friendly competition. The 2015 gold ladle victory by Beaverton Police was especially sweet. In 2014, TVF&R won the 2014 Judges Choice Award and a silver ladle award.

Farmington Gardens provided beautiful decorations for the evening: flowers, shrubs, a fountain and charming benches beneath lovely trees. West Coast Events also supported the event.
